LIPO X Body Sculpting and Fat Reduction

Body Sculpting/Contouring

Increasingly sedentary lifestyles and over consumption are fuelling the growth in body sculpting treatments. Fat is stored primarily as triglcyerides inside adipocytes cells which are located between the muscles and the skin.  The number of fat cells is the same, regardless a person’s weight, but the size of the cells can vary considerably.

Triglycerides are a type of fat found in your blood. Your body uses them for energy.  Triglycerides are the main form of fat in the body. When you think of fat developing and being stored in your hips or belly, you’re thinking of triglycerides.

Consider these things:
•    The fat we eat exists in relatively huge molecules inside food. Triglycerides are the end product of digesting and breaking down these bulky fats
•    Any extra food we eat that is not used for activity right away – carbohydrates, fat, or protein – is also chemically converted into triglycerides
•    Triglycerides are then bundled together into globules. These are transported through the blood.  Proteins (called lipoproteins) help transport these triglyceride blobs.
•    The triglycerides are taken up by adipose (fat) cells, to be used for energy if food isn’t available later

A key indication for body sculpting/contouring is the presence of undesirable fat areas, not an overall BMI indicating obesity.  These areas typically arise in the:
•    Outer thighs (saddle bags)
•    Upper arms (bingo wings)
•    Abdomen (love handles/spare tyre)
•    Chin/Jowls (double chin)

Cellulite is graded in Stages from 0-3:

It is believed that 95% of women have some form of cellulite, even skinny people. It affects women over the age of 20.

Cellulite forms in areas with the least circulation so it means that without activity, it is very hard to budge.  Daily body brushing, stroking in the direction towards the heart, will increase fat dispersion if done on a regular basis.

To help prevent cellulite recommend to your clients that they cut down on refined, processed and artificial foods that contain sweeteners, additives and chemicals.

Dairy and high fat products, sugars and high sugar products are also thought to contribute to the formation of cellulite.

This targets and destroys fat cells on arms, abdomen, buttocks and thighs
Ultrasound consists of sound waves at a frequency greater than which we can hear (more than 20kHz). In LIPOX, particular wavelength of 27KHz ultrasonic is being used
Cavitation is a biological process that consists of the formation of bubbles in between the cells which implode by the action of a low frequency ultrasound. This creates shock waves that selectively damage the membranes of the adipocytes (fat cells), spilling the liquid fat into the lymphatic system and finally to the liver to be metabolised. It is scientifically proven that after a cavitation session, excess liquid or lymphatic toxins are drained from the body via the urinary system.
The principle of Vacuum is conduct heat into the deep place on your body in a
vacuum state irrespective of curved area or flat area without damage of cell.
•    It is helpful on blood circulation and circulation of lymph
•    Improve texture by reducing dead skin cell
•    Effect on wrinkle improvement
•    Effect on skin trouble

The goal of Radio Frequency (RF) Therapy is to retighten the skin of the body, the dilated pores and to improve the appearance of cellulite by applying electromagnetic high frequency waves
The final result is an improvement of the firmness and tension of the skin (lifting effect). At the same time, the specific warming of the subcutaneous fat will retract the fat cells (adipocytes) and allow a release of fatty acids.  Therefore, for the most effective treatment, whenever offering inch loss treatments we recommend both cavitation and RF.

Since RF energy affects the deeper dermal layers, the result is a lifted contour, a decrease in deep wrinkles, thicker and firmer skin. RF promotes new collagen protein which causes the original collagen protein to strengthen the skin.
Radiofrequency (RF) works similar to the way your microwave oven reheats food.

RF energy acts on your tissue to induce heat. The goal is to control the heating to be ‘just enough’ to stimulate good tightening of your tissues. Just as there are hot and cool spots in microwave cooking, RF energy can affect tissue differently in different people.
